Monopoly GO switches up the simple board game by adding a ton of fun mechanics, like minigames and Flash Events. Flash Events are special, short-term boosts that become available from time to time during the day. They are designed to give players a temporary advantage in different aspects of the game, helping them to progress faster, earn more resources, or complete their sticker collections. Think of them as “power-ups” that are available for a limited time, usually lasting from a few minutes to a few hours.
S Tier
High Roller
The High Roller is absolutely the best flash event in Monopoly GO. By allowing you to roll at higher dice multipliers (up to x1000), it lets you quickly score points in main events and tournaments, hit specific tiles (like Railroads for Heists/Shutdowns, or event-specific tokens) for huge rewards.
Although High Roller burns through a lot of dice on each roll, its ability to quickly complete event milestones means you often earn more dice back than you spend, especially if you land on target tiles effectively.
For players with limited time, High Roller offers an extremely efficient way to make significant progress. Instead of hours of grinding at lower multipliers, a well-timed 5-minute High Roller session can push you through multiple event milestones.
Sticker Boom
Sticker Boom is undeniably an S-tier event because Monopoly GO stickers are the backbone of long-term progression in Monopoly GO. You need to collect stickers to complete Sticker Albums, which in turn reward you with a whole bunch of dice, cash, and limited-edition collectibles. Getting 50% more stickers per pack means faster album completion, which translates to more dice and more opportunities to play.
Even if you receive duplicates, more stickers mean you earn stars faster for the Sticker Vaults in Monopoly GO. Smart players try to save their sticker packs (especially blue and purple ones) until a Sticker Boom is active. Opening a large number of packs during this event can lead to an explosion of new stickers and duplicates.
Golden Blitz
Golden Blitzes are the only way to trade gold stickers in Monopoly GO, which tend to be the hardest to get when completing sets. Being able to trade for missing golds, or trade away duplicates for much-needed stars, makes these flash events invaluable for completing albums and winning the grand prizes.
Before a Golden Blitz is officially announced or goes live, Scopely will often create a poll on their official social media channels, where players can vote for the two stickers (or sometimes one) they most want to see featured in the upcoming Blitz.
A Tier
Free Parking (Dice)
While less common than the cash version, when Free Parking collects dice, it’s a fantastic way to generate more rolls simply by playing. You’re effectively getting rolls back just for landing on certain spots, which can be invaluable for extending your playtime. However, the number of dice rolls you win depends on how many times you land on the relevant tiles.
Builder’s Bash
The Builder’s Bash gives you a 50% discount on building and upgrading landmarks in Monopoly GO, which is a huge cash saver. This way, you can complete color sets much faster, which in turn feeds into Wheel Boosts and overall board progression. This event applies to every landmark on your current board, making it much cheaper to advance through your net worth levels.
Wheel Boost
An extra spin on the prize wheel every time you complete a color set is very valuable, especially if you’ve been saving up cash to complete multiple sets. The wheel can give dice, cash, and even sticker packs, making it a well-rounded boost.
Lucky Chance
This flash event transforms the ordinary Chance tile into a potential jackpot. Instead of the usual outcomes, Lucky Chance cards can give you the chance to win extra dice rolls, higher cash rewards, and even free moves. While you can’t guarantee landing on a Chance tile, if you find yourself with this event active, it’s worth rolling a bit more to try and hit those spaces, especially if you have a good multiplier active.

B Tier
Mega Heist
When the Mega Heist flash event is active, and you land on a Railroad tile, you’ll be taken to the Bank Heist minigame with a significantly increased chance of achieving a “Mega Heist” outcome. The outcome isn’t guaranteed, but if you manage a Mega Heist, you can win immense amounts of cash and points for your leaderboard.
Cash Boost
A Cash Boost doubles the amount of cash you earn from various sources like rent, Bank Heists, Shutdowns, etc. While always welcome, cash is generally abundant compared to dice or stickers. It’s good to have running in the background, but less something you actively play for.
Roll Match
The Roll Match flash event is actually a minigame that presents a target dice combination and rewards you with dice if you can match it on your next roll. Since you have no control over what you roll, Roll Match is entirely dependent on random chance, making it a B-tier event.
While it can give you dice, you’re spending dice to try and hit the target. If you miss multiple times, you could end up net negative on dice, making it a risky proposition if you’re low on rolls.
Landmark Rush
This flash event rewards you with extra dice for completing individual landmarks on your current board. Every time you build a landmark to completion, you’ll win additional dice. You need to have cash available to build the landmarks to get the rewards. If you’re low on cash, this event isn’t very useful.
Board Rush
Like Landmark Rush, this flash event offers increased rewards (including dice and cash) for completing an entire board (i.e., upgrading all landmarks on your current board to max level and advancing to the next board). Unless you’ve been saving up extensively, it’s unlikely you’ll complete multiple boards during a single, short Board Rush event. The rewards are great, but they come after you’ve already invested heavily.
C Tier
Rent Frenzy
This flash event increases the number of rent targets, meaning more cash when opponents land on your properties. It is useful for generating cash, but is often passive and less controllable than Bank Heists or Shutdowns in Monopoly GO. There’s no real way to use it in your favor since you don’t get to control where you land.
Cash Grab
This flash event is more like a mini-game you can play when landing on Chance tiles for extra cash. The more you tap and the more bills you successfully grab, the higher your total cash reward will be. While it’s free cash, the amounts are usually not as substantial as Mega Heists, and it relies on landing on specific tiles. It’s a nice bonus but rarely a game-changer.
